The Love You are Seeking

Love is a fundamental need that shapes our lives. We often seek it in family, friendship, romantic relationships, and self-love. Yet, there remains a void within our souls that won't go away unless we experience and accept the love of our creator—this is the love we are seeking. This is the love your heart truly yearns for.

In our pursuit of love, we frequently venture into diverse avenues. We discover warmth within the bonds of family, passion in romantic relationships, solace in friendships, and empowerment through self-love. Nevertheless, an emptiness lingers.

Despite our attempts to fill the void with fragments of love or what we think love is, it remains. We may believe that loving ourselves will draw love to us, but the ache endures.

The love we genuinely seek is not found in these earthly realms. It's not in family, not in the comfort of friends, not in the embrace of a lover, the cuddles of a pet and not within the confines of self-love. It's the divine love of God—profound, timeless, pure and unwavering.

God's love is the cure. In His words, in the Bible, you will find His love. Let it fill the void and bring you inner peace. John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." God's love is unending, and it will never let you down, unlike the earthly love you seek.

Once you've found God's love, everything becomes clearer in the earthly realm also. You won't be so easily swayed and tricked by Satan, and you'll discern who God has sent to be in your life. Many are unknowingly searching for the love of God in the highs of drugs, the effects of alcohol, the philosophies of yoga and the mysticism of crystals. They wander through these avenues, clouded by the illusions that these worldly experiences offer. They remain unaware that what they have been pursuing all along is, in fact, God's divine love. This confusion, these distorted perceptions, can be attributed to the deceptive influence of Satan.

Once you've found God's love, no more will the quest for love remain enigmatic; instead, you may come to a profound realization that your pursuit had led you down the wrong paths and towards the wrong ideals. What was once assumed to be love will be seen for what it truly is - a feeble imitation of the real thing. With this newfound awareness of authentic love, your discernment will sharpen, enabling you to perceive God's love or its absence in those who cross your path. The snares that once entangled you will no longer have the same allure; this transformation occurs because you've uncovered the treasure of genuine love. As a result, you'll not only embrace this love within yourself but also radiate it to others, embodying the love epitomized in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

So how do we find God’s love?

Discovering and experiencing God's love is a transformative journey. Here are some meaningful ways to find and encounter His boundless love:

Through Prayer. Communing with God through prayer allows you to connect with His love. Pray the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 and ask that His will be done in your life. This powerful prayer invites His will into your life and deepens your relationship with Him.

In Scripture. Explore the Bible, where God's love is revealed through stories, teachings, and verses. You can find his love anywhere in the Bible, and you can start with the beginning, Genesis 1. The more you read, understand the context, the more you will learn and understand God and His love for us.

Through Worship. Singing praises can deepen your connection with God. In the midst of worship, you'll find a deepening connection with God's divine love. Singing praises can transcend earthly boundaries, allowing you to experience His boundless affection and grace. Through this act of devotion, your heart resonates with the eternal love of God, filling the void within and bringing inner peace.

The love you seek, beyond human measure, resides in God. May you find it and hold it dear, for it is a love so profound and clear that it may bring you to your knees. In God's love, the emptiness within your soul finds eternal fulfillment, and you discover the love you've always sought.
